Yesterday I went to the library and while I was walking around looking for some cool books, a beautiful cover caught my eye (see this post), the cover was from The Nose by Nikolai Gogol, illustrated by Guennadi Spirin. Oh, beautiful Russian literature!

The nose is a satirical story about a man who wakes up one day to discover that his nose disappeared from his face.                   I have to say that the story is strange and definitely unusual but I really enjoyed reading it.

The illustrations are pure magic! Every page is full of details, personally I love the different expressions of the main character as well as the little drawings around the text.

Opening this book means traveling to the St. Petersburg of the XIX century. So please, go to your local library and look for it! (but keep an eye on your nose).
